The aim of the project is to create a bridge between the majority and target group through possibility of knowing Roma uniqueness and differences.
We want to provide a space where the Roma children realise and express their identity and value despite the cultural differences. We also want to give them a chance to free themselves of the feeling of shame and blame caused by the environment. Roma children and youth can become proud of their identity and culture, they can improve their self-esteem and acquire knowledge and skills that can help them in their personal development.
The majority may get the chance to know them more in a positive way. We hope that these projects will help into creating a dialogue between the majority and the minority and will help eliminating the discrimination towards Roma children and youth. Different decision-making institutions can thus get a chance to meet Roma children and youth in different situations, hear their opinions and desires so that they can experience respect and self confidence.
